We would all like to get professional facials and just sit back and relax every once in a while. Since this is not possible most of the time, we should take matters in our own hands. Here are some steps you can follow for an easy and effective home facial treatment to maintain your healthy skin. And don't worry, you probably already have all the products needed at home already.
Time required: 30-35 minutes
Step 1- Cleansing
Firstly, you should cleanse your face using a cleansing milk or any other equivalent product you have at home. Use cotton facial pads to remove the cleanser. Don't worry! you don't need to remove all residues.
Step 2- Peeling
Use an exfoliating facial scrub and rub it in your skin in small circles, using your hands. Focus more in any problematic areas you have, such as the forehead or nose. Rinse your face well before continuing.
Step 3- Steam
An important step of the facial treatment is steaming your face, in order to open your pores. One quick and easy way to do this is the following

- A big bowl
- Boiling water
- A face towel
- An essential oil to create a nice atmosphere (optional)
You fill half the bowl with the boiling water and then bend yourself over the bowl, but remember that your face must be at least 10 cm away from the water (or more depending on how hot the water is, you don't want to get burned!). Then place a towel over your head and the bowl. Now all you have to do is close your eyes, breathe and relax for 10 minutes.
Step 4- Mask
Depending on your skin, use any mask you want, applying it in all areas apart from the eyes or around them. Leave it for 10-20 minutes (depending on the instructions on the back of the product).
Step 5- Tone & Moisturize
Apply a toner and then a moisturizer on your face and neck.
Now just sit back and relax!
