The story is presented by the point of view of Samantha. Sam is a 17-year-old whose mother suddenly uproots her from her home to go live with a man she has been having an affair with, the rich James Kade and his two sons, Mason and Logan. Sam struggles with her new reality and at the same time she finds out her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her best friend for two of their 3 year relationship! The 'Fallen Crest High Series' describes the story of how Samantha makes new friends, struggles with her relationship with her parents and find a new, drama-filled family with Mason and Logan. Finally, she also finds love. 

Great books with lots and lots of drama going on. Don’t get discouraged by the beginning of the first book because as you continue reading, Sam gets accepted by Mason and Logan (her future step-brothers) and all the fun begins. So if you want an interesting read which is not only focusing on romance but also a sense of unity and a very non-conventional family, this book is perfect for you. Though at some points the author takes the whole American high school experience stereotype to extremes, the result is a fun story with an interesting combination of characters, not only focusing on two figures (as many authors prefer to do). I cannot wait for the third book of the series, coming in December!
